What is sterling silver anyway?

Sterling silver is 92.5% silver which is why pieces are marked with "925."

The other 7.5% is copper. This is to make silver, which would otherwise be too soft like pure gold, much more durable.

Silver is a beautiful metal. Compared to duller alternatives like stainless steel, silver has a vibrant white hue! It's also 30% more dense, giving pieces a much more satisfying weight.

Sterling silver can tarnish over time.

Not to worry though, as this is only surface-level and is easily fixed. Simply use your provided polishing cloth to get your jewelry shining like new. 

Tip: Sounds counterintuitive, but wearing your jewelry 24/7, including in the shower, will largely prevent tarnish and keep it looking new. Daily wear also reduces your need to polish to only once every few months or more.

Most pieces in the Mythic catalog are suitable for everyday wear. If you prefer to take your jewelry off though, no worries. Just polish it up when it looks like it needs it.
